Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising twenty three trial trenches excavated on land off Scothern Road, Nettleham, to inform the construction of a proposed residential development. A poorly preserved inhumation burial of Iron Age or Anglo-Saxon date and a possible Middle to Late Iron Age drip gully were encountered, as was an undated ditch. Below ground remains of north-northeast to south-southwest aligned ridge and furrow were also noted across the site.
