Full Description

An undated burial was seen but not excavated during trial trenching. No visible cut for the deposition of the body was seen. It was aligned east-west, suggesting that it may have been Christian, and it is thought that this was a deliberate burial. {1}{2} The burial, of an adult female, was subsequently excavated during an archaeological excavation in 2010, and was stratigraphically dated to the mid to late 3rd century AD or later (see MLI91750). {3}{4}
