Description
Two trial trenches were excavated in advance of proposed residential development. A Roman road and other Roman features were uncovered as well as an undated burial which was not excavated. {1}{2}
Subsequent archaeological excavation in 2010 revealed that all of the features uncovered during the evaluation were part of a substantial roadside settlement spanning the early 2nd to 4th centuries AD
