Full Description

Two post-Medieval ditches were identified on land at Clay Lake Bank, Spalding, during a programme of trial trenching in March-April 2018. One of the ditches was substantial, measuring 5.8m wide and 1.2m deep. It contained fragments of ceramic field drain and appears to have been open for much of the 19th and early 20th centuries. {1}{2}
