Description
A scheme of four test pits and archaeological monitoring were undertaken on two days in September 2022, and the 8th and 16th of February 2023 in the yard of Holy Trinity Church, Allington to allow for the construction of a new path and associated conduit. The northernmost test pits recorded cemetery soil and human remains, while monitoring and the two southern test pits suggested a former boundary wall had limited the extent of the cemetery. {1}{2}
