Description
SK 9824-9924 14/81 CORBY GLEN CHURCH STREET (south side) Glebe Farmhouse and barn G.V. II Former public house, now farmhouse and barn. Early C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. House in ashlar, barn in coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins. Pantile roof having stone coped gables, 2 gable and single ridge ashlar stacks, partly rebuilt in brick. 2 storey, 4 bay front with off-centre C20 door with, to right, C19 rectangular plain sash bay window both under pent pantile roof with scalloped fascia. To left a glazing bar sash, to right a further half glazed C20 door and glazing bar sash. To first floor a blank opening has to left a single glazing bar sash and to right a pair of similar windows to eaves. To the left hand end is the inscription "The Black Bull", also repeated on the gable. The slightly taller and projecting attached barn to the right has a single half glazed door with timber lintel. The roof has been replaced C20. Interior of house retains chamfered arched bressumer to fireplace and some shutters. Listing NGR: SK9998524960
