Abstract/Summary

The archive on a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording that was undertaken on land at Abbey Farm, Duckpool Lane, Stixwold. The work was undertaken prior to work to re-route overhead electric lines underground. The work was undertaken in proximity to the 12th century Cistercian nunnery. The deposits found were primarily natural. The western portion revealed a group of rough limestone blocks with sandy mortar, which was interpretated as a possible wall footing or a rubble dump. No finds were encountered.
