Abstract/Summary

Report on a programme of geophysical survey conducted on land adjacent to the A1 at Gonerby Moor and Colsterworth (as well as one further site near Peterborough), to inform the construction of a proposed road junction. Four discrete areas were surveyed at Colsterworth, where a group of anomalies interpreted as ditches and pits was encountered in the central survey area. Ridge and furrow remains, including slight earthworks, were recorded in the two southeastern survey areas. Surveying of one area at Gonerby Moor revealed a number of short ditch segments and an oval feature with a maximum diameter of 22m, as well as ridge and furrow and a historic field boundary.
