Archive for the excavation of nine trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land to the north of Uffington Road, Stamford. It had originally been proposed to dig forty four trenches to evaluate the site, but extensive modern and post-medieval disturbance and truncation encountered across the site precluded this, and only nine of the planned trenches could be dug. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered.
