Abstract/Summary
The archive on a programme of archaeological evaluation, undertaken at Eastern Farm Implements Ltd. Six trenches were excavated prior to the construction of a commercial building. Compact limestone and rubble were observed in trenches 4, 5, and 6, which was noted as part of a Late Modern trackway. Fur5ther evidence of extensive farmiing activity was also noted. A probable root bole or burrow was uncovered in trench 2, which contained a single abraded sherd of mortarion ware was recovered. This sherd was likely a secondary context, but still nevertheless suggests Romano-British activity in the area.
