Report on the excavation of sixteen trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land off Toot Lane, Fishtoft. Late post-medieval and modern drainage features were noted, but no archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered. The report also includes details of an earlier magnetometry survey, conducted on part of the site to inform the same proposed development, for which no separate report was produced. The magnetometry surevy did not identify any magnetic anomalies thought to be associated with archaeological activity, and only natural geological variation was recorded.
