Archive for a magnetometry survey conducted to inform the proposed construction of four poultry units and associated infrastructure on land at Ermine Street Farm, Ancaster. The majority of the magnetic anomalies recorded by the survey were thought to represent modern cultivation trends, though several positively identified linear features were considered to possibly represent prehistoric ditch or drainage features, as they do not respect modern field boundaries or Roman Ermine Street. {1} Subsequent trial trenching in this area was unable to positively identify any of these possible linear features (see ELI13948).
