Abstract/Summary

Archive for the excavation of two trial trenches, dug to inform the proposed construction of new football training facilities on land off Heath Lane, Scampton (in Welton parish). The trenches were targeted to investigate a number of geophysical anomalies recorded by a prior magnetometry survey (see ELI13791), and resolved the magnetic anomalies thought to represent possible archaeological features at the southern end of the site as further natural geological variation. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered.
