Report on an archaeological watching brief, conducted during the groundworks for the construction of a portable building on the northern side of the existing Start Right Nursery, at 12A Ermine Street, Ancaster. The groundworks were not deep, and revealed only a post-medieval topsoil under the modern tarmac yard.
