Full Description
Possible medieval or post-medieval boundary, to the south of Great Steeping. Visible as earthworks thought to represent a possible bank and ditch, running in a curvilinear fashion. The feature lies adjacent to the River Steeping, and may alternatively represent the line of a former course of the river, prior to later possible straigtening. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
The earthworks appear to have been levelled by modern agricultural ploughing and activity, as seen on the Google Maps aerial imagery layer. {2}
