Full Description

A holiday cottage built in 1901, using material from two Great Eastern railway carriages. It was constructed of timber and rendered brick and has a plain tile roof and a single brick stack. It is of two storeys, with its entrance front having a recessed 20th century doorway flanked by single casements. Above this is a 5-bay verandah, now glazed. This is a very early, important and well preserved example of a holiday cottage constructed with disused railway carriages.
