Full Description
Churchyard wall and gateways, designed by S.S. Teulon and built in 1854. Constructed from red brick with ashlar dressings, and featuring some wood and iron. The wall is set on a chamfered plinth with rounded brick coping extending north to south for about 80m. It is broken in the centre by a gateway with double wooden gates with iron fittings. The gateway posts have flush ashlar quoins, are topped with single large ashlar finials, and are decorated on four sides with gablets with single blind trefoils. The south side is broken by a similar gateway and gates. The finials here are decorated with single small blind cusped panels and terminate in a roll moulding. The north side is broken by a similar smaller gateway and gate, with plain conical ashlar finials.
