Full Description

A scatter of Romano-British pottery was found in 1958, following ploughing of this land to the south-west of Poplar Farm, Helpringham Fen. The sherds were found by a pupil of Helpringham school, who presented them to the Headmaster (Mr Aram). The assemblage was brought to the County Show that year, where it was examined by Ethel Rudkin, and found to comprise four large sherds of grey ware. The sherds were later donated to Lincoln Museum, in December 1976. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
