Full Description
Earthworks of an extensive medieval ridge and furrow field system, to the north-east of Bucknall. Visible as a number of adjoining blocks of parallel linear earthworks. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
Whilst the remains in the southern fields are still visble as extant earthworks, all of the remains in the northern fields appear to have been removed by more recent agricultural activity, as seen on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer or on LiDAR data for this area. {2}{3}
