Full Description

A Neolithic stone axe hammer was found in a ploughed field to the south-east of Bridge Farm, Bigby. The object was unpolished, and covered with small pockmarks remaining from its being pecked into shape. The artefact was thin-sectioned and thought be a group XVIII dolerite type. It was donated to Scunthorpe Museum. {1}{2}
