Full Description

Site of the former Usselby Mill, thought to have medieval origins. Earthwork remains of a former mill race, mill pond and tail race were identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} Usselby Mill is marked on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey County Series map, where it is labelled as a 'corn mill'. {2} The mill is marked on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, though is now labelled as 'disused', suggesting that operations ceased at some point around the turn of the 20th century. {3}
