Full Description

A large quantity of 15th to 16th century pottery was found in 1968, from the site of a building used for making mushroom ketchup. The exact site of these finds is not conclusively known, although the grid reference provided suggests the building was near Mill Hill, to the east of Burgh le Marsh. The assemblage included sherds from a wide variety of vessel types, forms and fabrics, including pancheons, Cistercian ware, Midlands Purple and Yellow Slip wares. {1}
