It retains an Early English arcade and the font is Perpendicular (1180AD to around 1520AD), with shields and tracery on the bowl and figures on the stem. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} A parish church dating from about 1200, which underwent alterations in the late 14th and mid 19th century and was heavily restored in 1893 by Hodgson Fowler. The church is constructed of greenstone rubble blocks, with some rendered brick, limestone ashlar and red sandstone dressings. The roofs are of plain tile, lead and slate with stone coped gables and cross finials. The building is comprised of a nave, west bell turret, south porch and chancel. The 19th century west bell turret has a slate hung rectangular base, wooden slatted bell openings, pyramidal slate roof with finial and weathervane. A plinth runs round the entire church. Inside the church can be found a pointed piscina of c.1200, to the east of the south doorway. The pews, altar rail and altar are all 20th century, though there is a 15th century octagonal font with cusped panels containing shields, pedestal with panel traceried panels and figures, including angels.
