St Benedict's Church was almost entirely rebuilt in 1860, but retains an Early English arcade of three bays between the nave and the north aisle. There is a Norman (1066AD to 1200AD) piscina in the south wall of the chancel. {1} A parish church, now closed and used as store, which was built in 1860 with some re used work by Mr. Hackford. It was constructed of squared and coursed limestone and greenstone rubble and has slate roofs.
