Full Description

PRN 33204 Various small sherds of medieval pottery including shelly ware & dark green glazed found in the garden of Bourne Grammar School. {1} Medieval pottery was recovered during trial trenching at TF 0988 1953. {3}{4} During a watching brief at TF0987 1953 in 2002, pottery of twelfth to seventeenth century date was recovered. A medieval subsoil suggested agricultural use of the site during this period.{5}{6}
