Full Description
A former stone quarry is depicted in this location on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map. It is depicted as an 'Old Quarry' on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series Map, suggesting it was no longer being worked by the end of the 19th century. {1}{2}
The former quarry is clearly visible on the Google Maps aerial imagery layer as an oval-shaped depression, now largely infilled with trees. {3}
