Summary

A ring ditch was excavated, and although no direct dating evidence was recorded it was believed to be the remains of a ploughed out round barrow.

Full Description

A ring ditch identified in geophysical survey {1}{2} was excavated in two phases {3}{4}{5}[6}, and although no direct dating evidence was recorded it was believed to be the remains of a ploughed out round barrow. Environmental samples from the ditch produced strains of wheat typically associated with the prehistoric period.
