Full Description
A widespread deposit containing sherds of 11th-12th century pottery and animal bone on land at Church Lane, Holton le Clay. The pottery recovered from this deposit included sixty-five sherds from a single jar of a previously uncharacterized coarse rounded quartz fabric. This deposit is likely to relate to nearby settlement activity in the centre of the village. {1}{2}
