Full Description

A country house on Moortown Road, thought to be of possible 19th century date. The building first appears on the 1st edition 6" Ordinance Survey County Series map, where it is named 'The Woodlands'. The 2nd edition 25" Ordinance Survey County Series map has the building named as 'Nettleton Manor'. It also shows the building underwent extensions and alterations possibly in the late 19th or early 20th century, with further extensions during the 20th century. The building is two storeys and is made of red brick with a slate roof. The main front elevation shows twin chimney stacks at both gable ends, with twin bay windows and porch with decorative columns painted white. The building was converted into a care home at some point in the mid 20th century. {1}{2}{3}
