Full Description

Mareham le Fen war memorial is located in the cemetery on Horncastle Road. It is a large rough-hewn boulder of Cornish granite with the names engraved on a sculpted front panel, and was unveiled in January 1922. It honours the fallen of the First World War and the Second World War. The memorial was erected as a more permanent commemorative monument, following the purchase and construction of the former village hall and memorial lawn from 1920 (see MLI126480-1). {1}{2}
