Former school on Westbeck Lane, now occupied as a residential property. A small one and a half storey building of coursed limestone with ashlar window dressings, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. A small single storey porch in the southwest corner gives entrance to the building. The school bell is still in situ on the roof ridge. {1} White's 1856 Trade Directory makes no mention of a school in the village, but by 1872 a parochial school had been erected and was attended by 35 children. {2}{3} The school building is present in the same plan on both the 1887 and 1906 OS maps, with only a small modern extension added to the western elevation since. {4}{5} Records for Blyborough School suggest that it was formed as a National School in 1871. Senior children appear to have been transferred to Kirton-in-Lindsey from 1938. The school was closed on 10 April 1963, with the children transferred to Willoughton County School. {6}
