A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a six houses and the removal of two storage tanks on land at 50 West Street, Alford. No archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered, although some groundworks occurred without archaeologists being present. {1}
