An archaeological watching brief was conducted during the groundworks for the replacement of a pavilion at the Recreation Ground, Fen Road, Washingborough. A sequence of redeposited sands overlying a buried topsoil and deposits interepreted as glaciofluvial sands was revealed, but no archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
