A watching brief was carried out during groundworks associated with the construction of three houses with associated garages, although due to an oversight two of the houses had been erected before the watching brief began. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered and the only finds recovered were of late 19th or 20th century date. This could be due to the site having been 'dug over' in 1896 during the construction of tennis courts. {1}{2}
