An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks at Main Street, Haconby. The watching brief monitored the excavation of foundation trenches for five new dwellings. The watching brief revealed a sequence of natural, subsoil and modern deposits with no significant archaeological remians identified. Pottery of 18th to 20th century date and modern glass were retrieved during the work.{1}{2}
