Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the course of landscaping and renovation works in the grounds of the Usher Art Gallery, Lincoln. Development included the demolition/removal of a number of features across the site; the removal of a number of trees, construction of new footpaths, steps and railings, localised remodelling of ground levels, provision of new public seating, interpretation boards and litter bins, restoration of the Garden Temple, Pavillion and Cottage and the installation of closed-circuit security cameras and floodlighting. No significant archaeological features or deposits were recorded {1} {2}
