A systematic and detailed magnetometry survey was conducted on three areas of land at Springfield Park, Grantham, in advance of a proposed expansion of Springfield Industrial Park. The aim of the survey was to determine whether detectable archaeological remains exist within the proposed expansion area and to determine their nature and extent. The survey revealed the sloped area to the south of the park to be magnetically quiet, with several trends of possible archaeological origin, however these are weak and incoherant. {1}
