Description
An archaeological watching brief was conducted during groundworks associated with the construction of three new residential dwellings on land to the rear of the New Saracen's Head Public House. Modern field drains and services associated with the site's previous use as a camp site were noted, but no archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
