Description

The site of a suspected 16th century pottery kiln was partially excavated in 1964, after a concentration of late medieval and early post-medieval pottery was found in 1964, on land to the north of Great Beats Farm, Coningsby. Whilst no actual kiln remains were identified, further quantities of broken pottery were noted, some of which may have been pieces of Toynton or Bolingbroke ware. Some of the pottery is now in Lincoln Museum. {1}{2}{3}{4}
