A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for a new residential development on land at The Forge, Padmoor Lane, Upton. A brick-lined well of possible late 19th century date was revealed, as were a number of modern waste pits, but no other archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
