Description

Site visits associated with a desk based assessment were undertaken between May and September 2011 as part of the planning conditions associated with an old, dormant permission for mineral extraction at Welby Estates, Denton, Grantham. Evidence was encountered for areas of extant ridge and furrow, and a small quantity of prehistoric and Roman pottery was visible in topsoil around known heritage assets. {1}
