Following a scheme of geophysics (ELI14391) and prior to the potential construction of a proposed chicken farm, sixteen evaluation trenches were excavated in December 2023. While the trenches predominantly covered the northern half of the area subject to geophysics, three undated linear features pre-dating the medieval period were recorded, along with ridge and furrow and a buried ploughsoil.
