A second phase of historic building recording was conducted to inform the proposed renovation and renewal of Heckington Windmill and its associated buildings. This additional recording was undertaken during the demolition of the former cart shed, thought to have been added to the site during the c.1891 repairs to the mill. The building had seen considerable alterations in the mid 20th century, and was in poor condition immediately prior to the demolition, with several walls having partly collapsed. {1}{2}
