Ten trial trenches were excavated to inform proposed residential development on land off Riseholme Road, Lincoln. Extensive layers of modern made-ground and landscaping disturbance, very likely associated with the site's previous conversion from allotment gardens to school playing fields, was noted across most of the investigated area. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered however. {1}
