A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new departmental block at Deepings School, Park Road, Deeping St James. The groundworks were located within a former playground area, which had been constructed in the 1950s. The monitoring established that the previous construction of the playground had removed all the topsoil and subsoil in this area, and no archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
