A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a stable and manège on land at Cairns House, Hall Lane, Burgh le Marsh. Remains of medieval ridge and furrow on the site had previously been levelled in late 2014, when a large quantity of material was spread over the surviving earthworks. The current groundworks were very shallow and did not penetrate beyond the layers of imported material. No further archaeological remains were therefore encountered. {1}{2}
