A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during the excavation of a service trench for drainage for a new dwelling on land adjacent to The Cottage, at Lower Road, Hough on the Hill. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered. Extensive groundworks and terracing for the subsequent construction of the new dwelling were not monitored. {1}{2}
