A scheme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during the groundworks for the construction of a new outbuilding to the rear of 37 Cecil Street, Lincoln. Although the site overlies the extensive Roman boundary ditch to the north of the Roman fort, the groundworks exposed only the early 20th century backfill of the ditch, and no archaeologically significant material was encountered. {1}{2}
