An area approximately 35m by 85m was investigated using a fluxgate gradiometer to the south of the rear graden of 'Old Orchard', south of Station road. Serious problems were encountered due to the presence of large quantities of ferro-magnetic material on the ground surface particularly in the north and west parts of the survey area. Consequently no archaeological features were identified even in the areas not influenced by the magnetic disturbance. {1}
