Description

Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by Archaeological Project Services Ltd at 66 High Street, Stamford in September 2010 prior to the construction of a new extension. A pit used for quarrying stone in the 18th to 19th century was found along with dumped layers of residual medieval finds and human remains which had been disturbed from the medieval hospital. {1}{2}
